Surprise!

Last night, instead of having alone time with Isaac cooking out at his dad's house, he surprised me with family!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Isaac's family! He was sneaky about it, telling me that everyone had plans (which I completely believed), but when we pulled up, there was everyone's cars.
If I were being honest with myself, I would have to say the best we being able to see and play with my little niece, Indy. She is probably the worlds cutest, well behaved, fun little girl (a little over a year old and just started walking). I can't help but smile when she is around. Even her cry is adorable. 
Isaac and I are trying to spend as much time with the family as we can since most of our lives will be spent traveling.Two of my aunts' (both my mom's sisters) husbands were in the Air Force, which took them all kinds of neat places, but I only have memories of them from when I was a little girl. Nice thing they are all good memories. Holiday times were pretty cool too because they sent some awesome gifts (little toys inside of plastic eggs, inside of chocolate, being at the top of the list of most memorable-and yummy-gifts).
I love to travel and am looking forward to seeing all kinds of places and meeting all kinds of people, but I do hope to visit home often (both Arizona and Utah). Now, with technology, there are all kinds of ways to stay in touch.

As a family of four, Valentine's Day celebrations are not the same as they were 10 years ago when I celebrated my first Valentine's Day with the love of my life.  This year was spent with my daughter.  We saw the new Sonic movie, painted pottery and got some cookies at our favorite cookie shop.  Later that night was spent making dinner, and turning in early because well, the hubs and little boy were both miserable while battling off colds and sickness.   I got to thinking, as someone who only grew up decorating for Christmas, are there really all that many people who go big when it comes to other holidays?  I have a cute little banner I put up for each major holiday, but struggle with knowing when to put it up and when to take it down. Honeymoon

Four our honeymoon, Isaac and I took a four day Carnival cruise out of Long Beach, California to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. The first day we got up super early to drive from Logan, UT aaaaal the way down to Salt Lake City. One of Isaac's old mission companions was having a baby blessing. Two weeks away and I turn 27 (I don't actually feel that old since my husband just turned 25. And I don't feel like he is actually that old since he is just finishing is last year of undergrad school. And unlike Utah, where a lot of guys serve missions so they graduate school later, being from Arizona I'm used to college graduates being younger. Result? My, what would you call it,  age that I actually feel is around 23 or 24 years. THREE weeks and a couple of days and I will be in ARIZONA!! I'm so ExCiTeD to see my family and friends! Not looking forward to the HOT weather, but it might actually be a nice break from here since it's suppose to be in the 50's by the time we leave.
