Isaac's T-6 Solo Flight

He did such an AWESOME job!!!
Leading up to his solo, I was really nervous, not for his flight, but that I wouldn't be able to get some good pictures. Stories of wives not even being let out to the flight line scared me. But no fear, if no one tells me no, then it's a go!
Turns out, I was suppose to have a man in uniform with me the whole time. Two of Isaac's classmates came to my rescue by request of Isaac's IP (instructor pilot), thanks guys! They helped point out Isaac to me several times and explain things when I had questions. 

Tradition holds at the end of the first solo flight, the pilot had the opportunity to try and run all the way back to his class room and touch the back wall. If the pilot makes it, the class has to buy them a whole case of beer/soda/drink of choice. If they don't make it, they get dunked in a huge tub of freezing dirty water that has been sitting for several weeks at times. Truth be told, no one makes it, and even if they did make it, they would still be dunked. Isaac didn't even attempt to run. :) 

Overall, it was a really fin experience for me, and a really really fun experience for Isaac.

apparently this water is way cleaner than it should be because someone didn't know they weren't suppose to dump out the dirty water, so it got filled that morning, which also made the water a lot warmer than it should have been

Honeymoon

Four our honeymoon, Isaac and I took a four day Carnival cruise out of Long Beach, California to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. The first day we got up super early to drive from Logan, UT aaaaal the way down to Salt Lake City. One of Isaac's old mission companions was having a baby blessing. anticipation

Two weeks away and I turn 27 (I don't actually feel that old since my husband just turned 25. And I don't feel like he is actually that old since he is just finishing is last year of undergrad school. And unlike Utah, where a lot of guys serve missions so they graduate school later, being from Arizona I'm used to college graduates being younger. Result? My, what would you call it,  age that I actually feel is around 23 or 24 years. THREE weeks and a couple of days and I will be in ARIZONA!! I'm so ExCiTeD to see my family and friends! Not looking forward to the HOT weather, but it might actually be a nice break from here since it's suppose to be in the 50's by the time we leave.
