Baby Blessing

Although I was sick of traveling, we made the two day trip out to Utah: Dad, Mom, Baby and Dog.
It was nice seeing the family and having someone else besides me hold Corinne (I actually got to blow dry my hair for the first time in a really long time). Corinne wasn't sure what to think about all the attention, she wore out pretty quickly, as expected for an 8 week old, but overall the trip went well.

Families are Forever
I love all the many faces of Corinne, she is so expressive. I forgot to get a picture of everyone who participated in the baby blessing. Thankfully, so so so incredibly thankful for the family organizing a get together after Corinne's blessing to have lunch and hang out.
Grandpa Bowman spends a lot of time taking care of his backyard and it's the most beautiful setting for pictures. Good thing Kathleen was there to take some of our little family. I no longer believe a good camera takes good pics, it's the person behind the camera, and Kathleen is pretty good.
I am so lucky to have married into such a wonderful family!

As a family of four, Valentine's Day celebrations are not the same as they were 10 years ago when I celebrated my first Valentine's Day with the love of my life.  This year was spent with my daughter.  We saw the new Sonic movie, painted pottery and got some cookies at our favorite cookie shop.  Later that night was spent making dinner, and turning in early because well, the hubs and little boy were both miserable while battling off colds and sickness.   I got to thinking, as someone who only grew up decorating for Christmas, are there really all that many people who go big when it comes to other holidays?  I have a cute little banner I put up for each major holiday, but struggle with knowing when to put it up and when to take it down. Honeymoon

Four our honeymoon, Isaac and I took a four day Carnival cruise out of Long Beach, California to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. The first day we got up super early to drive from Logan, UT aaaaal the way down to Salt Lake City. One of Isaac's old mission companions was having a baby blessing. Two weeks away and I turn 27 (I don't actually feel that old since my husband just turned 25. And I don't feel like he is actually that old since he is just finishing is last year of undergrad school. And unlike Utah, where a lot of guys serve missions so they graduate school later, being from Arizona I'm used to college graduates being younger. Result? My, what would you call it,  age that I actually feel is around 23 or 24 years. THREE weeks and a couple of days and I will be in ARIZONA!! I'm so ExCiTeD to see my family and friends! Not looking forward to the HOT weather, but it might actually be a nice break from here since it's suppose to be in the 50's by the time we leave.
