This lady! I went from being paranoid that she wasn't sitting my herself at 4 months (as a lot of people insisted she should be, shame on them!), to crawling and racing around the house at right before 8 months. My nerves are shot. Seriously, I need to stop comparing my baby to others. She is healthy, smiling happy baby girl who, as far as I can tell, loves life. Those mommy blogs can drive me crazy!
Now she's pulling herself up to standing from just about anywhere in the house, and has started to walk holding onto furniture. The best thing I've done for Corinne is to let her play by herself. Also, this girl LOVES her books! Mostly, she just loves to flip pages, but I really hope she picks up her mother's love of reading.
Bath time has become a nightly ritual because she gets so dirty moving around all day and trying new foods. We have a cupboard full of baby food she refuses to eat. She likes to feed herself, so "baby Cheetos" (as we call them) have been a staple in her diet. Boob milk is still her preferred method of food, but she loves trying new things.
We go in for her nine month appointment on Monday, NINE MONTHS!! I've had to fill out this packet checking off the milestones she's accomplished, and I'm happy to say she's hit just about everyone. I'm not worried in the least about her development (whew! There's one less thing to worry about, amiright?).
I am so so so so so in love with my little girl (I'm writing this in the morning, ask me at night and I question my whole existence). Being a SAHM is by far the hardest job I've ever had, but it's also the best job I have ever had and I really have no desire to ever go back to work...but that's for another blog.
trying carrots
standing up and yelling at me (or the dog)
Wookie knows not to mess with this little puppy because she gives him food
Yummy girl scout cookies
I can't tell you how many times Corinne has clobbered Wookie (the dog) and chased after Logan (the cat). Both are WONDERFUL animals and have never once hurt her. Amazing! How did we get so lucky??
As a family of four, Valentine's Day celebrations are not the same as they were 10 years ago when I celebrated my first Valentine's Day with the love of my life. This year was spent with my daughter. We saw the new Sonic movie, painted pottery and got some cookies at our favorite cookie shop. Later that night was spent making dinner, and turning in early because well, the hubs and little boy were both miserable while battling off colds and sickness. I got to thinking, as someone who only grew up decorating for Christmas, are there really all that many people who go big when it comes to other holidays? I have a cute little banner I put up for each major holiday, but struggle with knowing when to put it up and when to take it down. And how much is too much? This year I saw cute family dinners with all kinds of decked out decor, and that was the first time it ever occurred to me to have a family valentines dinner. I wonder what other ways I hav...
Four our honeymoon, Isaac and I took a four day Carnival cruise out of Long Beach, California to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. The first day we got up super early to drive from Logan, UT aaaaal the way down to Salt Lake City. One of Isaac's old mission companions was having a baby blessing. It was super awesome because after they invited us over to bbq and they also had some Hatian food (Isaac missed it very much) which was actually pretty yummy. In Vegas we decided to spend waaaay too much money at the Hard Rock Cafe (I really wanted to go because I had never eaten t...
Two weeks away and I turn 27 (I don't actually feel that old since my husband just turned 25. And I don't feel like he is actually that old since he is just finishing is last year of undergrad school. And unlike Utah, where a lot of guys serve missions so they graduate school later, being from Arizona I'm used to college graduates being younger. Result? My, what would you call it, age that I actually feel is around 23 or 24 years. THREE weeks and a couple of days and I will be in ARIZONA!! I'm so ExCiTeD to see my family and friends! Not looking forward to the HOT weather, but it might actually be a nice break from here since it's suppose to be in the 50's by the time we leave. There are some things in Utah that are growing on me. The weather. Weird, right? I can't really figure it out myself. Normally I LOVE the heat, but I've been retaining a lot of body heat lately, so I am loving the cooler weather. Maybe it's because of the RA or the medici...
