A Little About Isaac

Isaac got his pilot slot!!!! We just found out this week, Isaac's dreams are coming true!
           Ever since he knew what an airplane was, Isaac knew he wanted to be a pilot. In high school he joined the football team because he knew that would up his chances of being a candidate for a pilot. He also joined the track team so he could stay in shape for football. With the help of his dedicated mother, Isaac stayed on track and received his Eagle Scout. For two years he put his dream off to serve a full time mission in Boston learning and speaking Haitian (yes, dedicated to being a pilot, but he knows what/who really comes first). In college, of course he joined the Air Force ROTC and did everything he needed to be in competition for a slot. After 24 1/2 years, the day has finally come!!



           There is still work to be done however. Isaac's dream has been not only to be a pilot, but to fly fighter jets for the US Air Force. This fall we should find out where Isaac is going to do his year long pilot training (good change it's Oklahoma---or so we hope). If all goes as he would like (flying F-16) then we just may end up at Luke Air Force base for a couple of years (good for me too because Phoenix is where I am from and most my family still lives).

Honeymoon

Four our honeymoon, Isaac and I took a four day Carnival cruise out of Long Beach, California to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. The first day we got up super early to drive from Logan, UT aaaaal the way down to Salt Lake City. One of Isaac's old mission companions was having a baby blessing. anticipation

Two weeks away and I turn 27 (I don't actually feel that old since my husband just turned 25. And I don't feel like he is actually that old since he is just finishing is last year of undergrad school. And unlike Utah, where a lot of guys serve missions so they graduate school later, being from Arizona I'm used to college graduates being younger. Result? My, what would you call it,  age that I actually feel is around 23 or 24 years. THREE weeks and a couple of days and I will be in ARIZONA!! I'm so ExCiTeD to see my family and friends! Not looking forward to the HOT weather, but it might actually be a nice break from here since it's suppose to be in the 50's by the time we leave.
