Fantastic Friday and Super Saturday!

Friday came with some GREAT new additions to the house; Samsung washer and dryer. Seriously, we got a killer deal on these things, otherwise we would have just stuck with a pair of basic top loaders and none of that fancy HE stuff.

Saturday came early, but so does everyday now that I have a puppy who loves 5am and 6am. Isaac and I took off early in the morning to head down to OKC with our friends, the Kearns, to go see Dark Night Rises. Wow, what an AWESOME movie. I love the cast of characters in this movie, so believable, especially Alfred, I love that old man.

When we got into the beautiful theater, we were freezing. So what did my amazing husband go do? Since we were there an hour early, he went to a nearby store, which opened early, just so he could buy me something to keep me warm. Apparently, sports shops don't sell blankets in the middle of summer, so he came back with this
Guess what I'll be sporting this football season.... well, at least it's a good sweater.

As a family of four, Valentine's Day celebrations are not the same as they were 10 years ago when I celebrated my first Valentine's Day with the love of my life.  This year was spent with my daughter.  We saw the new Sonic movie, painted pottery and got some cookies at our favorite cookie shop.  Later that night was spent making dinner, and turning in early because well, the hubs and little boy were both miserable while battling off colds and sickness.   I got to thinking, as someone who only grew up decorating for Christmas, are there really all that many people who go big when it comes to other holidays?  I have a cute little banner I put up for each major holiday, but struggle with knowing when to put it up and when to take it down. Honeymoon

Four our honeymoon, Isaac and I took a four day Carnival cruise out of Long Beach, California to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. The first day we got up super early to drive from Logan, UT aaaaal the way down to Salt Lake City. One of Isaac's old mission companions was having a baby blessing. Two weeks away and I turn 27 (I don't actually feel that old since my husband just turned 25. And I don't feel like he is actually that old since he is just finishing is last year of undergrad school. And unlike Utah, where a lot of guys serve missions so they graduate school later, being from Arizona I'm used to college graduates being younger. Result? My, what would you call it,  age that I actually feel is around 23 or 24 years. THREE weeks and a couple of days and I will be in ARIZONA!! I'm so ExCiTeD to see my family and friends! Not looking forward to the HOT weather, but it might actually be a nice break from here since it's suppose to be in the 50's by the time we leave.
